Next Steel Shoot on Saturday September 13, 2014

The next shoot in Hummelstown’s Second Saturday Steel Shoot Series is on Saturday September 13, 2014 and again this month we will have 2 starting times; 9am and 11:30 am.  BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SHOOTERS MUST ARRIVE - AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR to each time-slot.

Please note that we prefer that you register for our shoots online. This month we will be using the Practiscore site as it meshes well with the scoring program. Please use this system it saves time on the morning of the shoot and will get us all out on the ranges quicker and more efficiently. The link for this upcoming match is in the right-hand column of this blog.

Also these shoots are designed for safe shooters and are not for complete novices or anyone we deem unsafe with a firearm.  But we are happy to accommodate NEW STEEL SHOOTERS who have enough handgun experience to safely handle, shoot and reload their firearm without assistance.  Also ALL shooters sharing a firearm must notify the registration table PRIOR to the shoot briefing to see if this can be accommodated.

Steel Shoot Rules Updated!

Hummelstown's Steel Plate Shoot Rules, Version 03.50 is now posted, see the link in the Right hand column.  Basically including they now include info on the 10 round magazine rule, and uses more consistent wording for "Safe Table" and "Firearm" throughout.  Also a few clarifications primarily for the safety of our volunteers because of ammo issues and shooters who are bringing a second (back-up) firearm in the event they have a problem with their primary one.  This is OK to do, BUT those spare/back-up firearms need to safely stowed (empty) in your gear.  For details, read the complete document by clicking on the link to the right.
